What are the requirements?
• Classes are open to 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students • Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher • Students must successfully complete (C or better) one or more credits in an approved Mathematics and/or Science class. • Minimum reading level of eighth (8th) grade What courses are available? Criminal Investigations — Study of investigating crimes. This includes narcotics and dangerous drug laws, search, seizure, evidence, and arresting suspects. Law Enforcement Fundamentals — The course sequence focuses on duties and tasks performed by professionals in law enforcement and corrections, as well as, pre-employment and employment skills. Patrol Procedures — Theory and application of the proper prodecures when on patrol. This includes responding to emergencies, controlling traffic, and performing patrol functions. Criminal Law — The review and study of laws protecting officers and the public. This includes custody procedures, court system, juvenile justice system, and preventing crime.
